Teacher invokes curses on GES over salary delay
Management of the Kintampo Directorate of the Ghana Education Service are living in a state of fear after a teacher, Clement Domayele of Kunsu D/A JHS in Kintampo of the Brong Ahafo Region, invoked the Asante deity, ‘Antoa Nyamaa’ on them.
Clement Domayele narrating his ordeal to Adom News’ Felix Anim said he invoked the curses following delay in his salary for the past nine months.
Clement, who walked straight to the school with his family and in the full glare of some of the teachers and officers invoked the deities with three eggs and some others items to curse them.
According to him, GES has taken him and his family for granted for far too long despite being a hard working teacher.
Mr. Domayele, said until he receives his nine months’ salary, any officer responsible for the delay in his salary will die within 30 days.
“I don’t know what my crime was for my salary to delay this long. My salary has been delayed from March 2016 until I received it on July 2016 when I was posted from my old school to teach at a different place.
“After the four months’ salary was paid, I have not received anything from August 2016 until March 2017 ending and I have family to take care of and that is why I’m at the office with my eggs and schnapps together with my family to collect my money but they had nothing sensible to tell me and that is why I’ve cursed all of them.
“Anyone responsible for my salary delay will have no peace and will not even live to spend theirs till I receive mine from GES. They will all die within 30 days if my salary does not he said.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Kintampo Municipal of Education, Isaac Taa Sosito tells Adom News efforts by the Municipal Directorate to make sure Clement receives his salary has always proved futile.
Sosito urged the worried teacher to channel his grievances to the Controller and Accountant General Department for his issue to be rectified.
