Biography of Pinches Palmer the Root Reggae/Dancehall artist in Ghana

   Pinches Palmer is a Root Reggae/Dancehall artist, Songwriter and a Model Artist. His Dancehall single “I FEEL IRIE” earned him song of the year award at High School Awards Night in 2009, at St. Augustine’s College. He gained massive publicity in Cape Coast with his hit single “WHINE FI MI” which granted him two (2) nominations at the Central Music Awards (Best New Artist & Best Reggae/Dancehall artist of the year.




EARLY LIFE
Pinches Palmer, born (Samuel Ansah-Eyison) to Fante parents Rose Acquah (Mother) and Bright Ansah-Eyison (Father) on November 25, 1991 in Cape coast, Central Region of Ghana (West Africa). He started his elementary education at Kakomdo M/A Primary School and later moved to University Junior High School both in Cape Coast. He later gained admission to Saint Augustine’s College in Cape Coast to offer General Science in 2006. After graduation from high school in 2009, he further pursued Diploma in Mental Health Nursing which he graduated as a Professional Psychiatric Nurse in 2013. He is currently practicing as a nurse.

MUSICAL LIFE

He started his musical career as a rapper at age twelve (12) and was popularly known to his peers as “92 PINCHES” because his raps pinch the skin as he claimed. At University Junior High School he was known to be very fluent at Fante Language which made him to represent the school in an ”Inter-Schools Drama And Poetry competition” held in Centre for National Culture(CNC, 2006), and was his first time performing on a bigger platform. When he is not at work practicing as a nurse, he spends time writing songs, listening to loud music and trying hard not to be the worst player in Draft/Checkers. He is currently about to release his debut album “EN ROUTE TO GOLD COAST”.
